I've updated this for Adobe Flash CS3, but it's around the same for other versions of Flash. The text is still the same, with a few minor errors fixed.

did you smell that till there? holy crap just what i looked for, i have this major assignment for school ,have to make something in flash WIth a preloader!! but hell that teacher couldn't explain flash to us, we were like parrots :| and now i have this huge problem, see my preloader doesn't work till my moviething is like 99% loaded, such crap, seems like nobody in our (multimedia)school seems to know the answer, gettting desperate of it, it has no words cause when i put the preloader in an other new file it works! but in that file were it has to be he won't :| :| i've allready put it online but no one seems to know ...lolz i'll quit nagging :p;)
nice tutorial though, very helpful for beginners :) ;)

Wait i just realized something! When you use that "click here" button, you say go to and play, but you should use go to and stop, so when you click it it plays through all the frames... Now really, flash tutorials shouldn't have mistakes! :no:
